Former Lions bowling coach Gordon Parsons has been appointed head coach of Limpopo ahead of the 2023-24 domestic season in South Africa.

Parsons has succeeded former Limpopo head coach Dumisa Makalima.

“They know I’ve got a contract with North-West University and I’m also working as bowling coach with the Pakistan Under-19 side ahead of the Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka, so we’ll see,” Parsons told Rapport when interviewed by Limpopo last month.

Seamers Zakhele Qwabe and Sithembile Langa, meanwhile, have left Limpopo. Qwabe has joined Northern Cape. Langa has moved to the Knights.

Limpopo compete in division two of South African domestic cricket.
