Macassar Cricket Club will be promoted to the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association first division D after winning the 2024-25 second division title.
Macassar Cricket Club did not lose a match en route to first position on this season’s WPCA second division points table.
“It is with great pride that I am able to announce that Macassar Cricket Club first XI were unbeaten in their 22-match season. Macassar ended up winning the second division,” said Macassar Cricket Club representative Steven Levendal.
“We are therefore promoted to the first division D. Thank you to all members who took part in this season’s campaign – and to all management, players and community members who supported us through the sun and rain.
“Your loyalty and support is much appreciated. We are looking forward to seeing you all next season.”
Northpine Cricket Club ended the 2024-25 WPCA second division in second position. They will also be promoted to the 2025-26 first division D.
“All the sacrifice, hard work and commitment paid off. It’s an even bigger achievement considering that half the first team is 18 years old and younger, meaning that our club gives opportunities to our youth and rewards selection based on performances as well as dedication,” read a statement from Northpine Cricket Club.
