Seamer Malcolm Cloete has joined Rondebosch Cricket Club ahead of the 2021-22 Western Province Cricket Association season.
Rondebosch Cricket Club confirmed the move to Club Cricket SA.
Cloete had rejoined Glamorgan Cricket Club from Milnerton Cricket Club last year. However, he didn’t play a league fixture because the 2020-21 WPCA season was cancelled amid the coronavirus pandemic.
He was among the top 10 wicket-takers during the 2018-19 WPCA premier league with Milnerton Cricket Club.

Cloete joins van Wyk, Christensen at Rondebosch CC
Cloete is the latest in a series of new recruits for Rondebosch Cricket Club, including former Bellville Cricket Club all-rounder Lenert van Wyk and former Eastern Province captain Matthew Christensen.
The club have reappointed captain Grant Edmeades and player-coach Sean Hendrieck. Edmeades and Hendrieck held the posts for the 2019-20 WPCA premier league, which ended prematurely at the start of the pandemic.
Rondebosch Cricket Club were at the top of the 12-team standings at the time. Whether they will eventually be named 2019-20 WPCA premier league champions remains in the balance, as Cricket South Africa continue to deliberate a dispute involving Durbanville Cricket Club.
