Mark Tessendorff stars, but SA Over-60 lose to Zimbabwe Over-60

Zimbabwe Over-60 beat South Africa Over-60 in Monday’s opening triangular tournament fixture at the Wanderers Cricket Club in Johannesburg.

Zimbabwe Over-60 posted a final total of 304 for five in 45 overs, as Wayne Parham hit 60, Rory McWade 91 not out and Kenyon Ziehl 63. Mark Tessendorff took two wickets – and Vivian Chamier and Aqeel Cupido one each.

South Africa Over-60 collected 254 for seven in 45 overs in reply. Tessendorff top-scored with 84 from 67 deliveries, including 13 fours and a six. He shared a 167-run partnership with Trevor Poole, who scored 74. McWade, who was named Player of the Match, and Ziehl took two wickets each.

The triangular tournament also includes Rest of the World Over-60.
