Claremont Cricket Club all-rounder Matthew de Villiers starred on debut for the Aiwan-E-Shahi Royals in Tuesday’s KBN Champions Trophy fixture against RR Challengers.
De Villiers took two wickets and struck 67 as the Royals beat the Challengers. His innings spanned 47 deliveries – and featured five fours and two sixes.
De Villiers is one of several Cape Town-based club cricketers at the KBN Champions Trophy, which is being played in Hyderabad, India.
