MI Cape Town have signed Warwickshire fast bowler Henry Brookes for the remainder of the inaugural SA20.
Brookes has replaced England fast bowler Olly Stone in the MI Cape Town squad.
“The six foot, three inches Henry, who plays across formats, in T20 cricket, has played 37 matches, picking up 46 wickets with best bowling figures of five for 25 – and has been touted as one with potential in English cricket,” read a brief statement from MI Cape Town.
The 23-year-old right-armer has represented England Under-19 – and played for the Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred, too.
MI Cape Town currently occupy fifth position in the six-team SA20 standings. They have won three matches and lost four.
MI Cape Town are captained by Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan.
MI Cape Town’s head coach is former Australian batsman Simon Katich.
