Milnerton Cricket Club have named seamer Malcolm Cloete captain for the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Cloete retired in March 2024 before returning to Milnerton Cricket Club’s WPCA premier league XI eight months later.
Milnerton Cricket Club had three captains during the 2024-25 WPCA premier league, including batsman Kuda Samunderu and seamer Ryan Milne.
Milnerton Cricket Club have been relegated to the first division A after ending last season’s premier league in second-last position – and have since signed batsman Ben Henderson from Langa Cricket Club and several other players ahead of the 2025-26 season.
All-rounders Kyle Tomlinson and Keenan Dalwai have left Milnerton Cricket Club for Western Province Cricket Club and Cravenby Cricket Club, respectively.
Milnerton Cricket Club and Kraaifontein Cricket Club, who have also been relegated, have been replaced in the premier league by Victoria Cricket Club and Rylands Cricket Club, who have been promoted from the first division A.
