Morne van Wyk and Alviro Petersen come out of retirement; available for Proteas

Batsmen Morne van Wyk and Alviro Petersen have come out of retirement in a bid to play international cricket for South Africa again.

The 42-year-old van Wyk and 40-year-old Petersen recently played for the South Africa Legends in the Road Safety World Series in India.

Van Wyk was particularly impressive with half-centuries against the Sri Lanka Legends and Bangladesh Legends.

Van Wyk international career ended in 2015, after 17 ODIs and eight T20Is. Petersen’s international career ended in 2015, too, after 36 Tests, 21 ODIs and two T20Is.
