Mpumalanga have contracted seamer Akhulile Mkatu ahead of South Africa’s 2023-24 domestic season.
Mkatu played first-class cricket for Mpumalanga last season, but was not contracted at the time.
All-rounder Blake Schraader has not been re-contracted. He has “gone into the corporate world,” according to Mpumalanga.
Spinner Lizo Makhosi has also not been re-contracted.
Mpumalanga, meanwhile, have gained seamer Gareth Dukes and spinner Gregory Mahlokwana. Dukes has joined from KwaZulu-Natal, while Mahlokwana previously played for the Titans and Knights.
