All-rounder Muaath Salie has joined Strandfontein Cricket Club for the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Salie was previously with the University of the Western Cape Cricket Club.
Strandfontein Cricket Club have also signed spinner Thato Mzisi and all-rounder Reece Engelbrecht from Varsity College Cricket Club and Avendale Cricket Club, respectively.
“Reece Engelbrecht joins from Avendale CC after a competitive season in the first division A. Muaath Salie joins from UWC CC, returning to SCC after an hiatus,” stated Strandfontein Cricket Club on social media.
“Thato Msizi joins from Varsity College CC to start his exciting journey. All three players will join the club with immediate effect.”
Strandfontein Cricket Club ended the 2024-25 WPCA first division A in third-last position. They won five and lost 17 matches. They have appointed new head coach Keanan Mitchell.
