Mulligan George joins Strandfontein Cricket Club

George won't likely play for SCC's first XI.

Strandfontein Cricket Club have confirmed the arrival of former Western Province, Gauteng and Northerns first-class cricketer Mulligan George.

Right-arm seamer George, who strung together two dozen first-class and nine less List A appearances across the three provincial units between 1997 and 2002, was previously associated with Victoria Cricket Club.

While the 39-year-old’s age will unlikely see him play in the Western Province Cricket Association’s first division B, George could be accommodated in the reserve league C, reserve league D or third division C, where Strandfontein Cricket Club are well represented.

Strandfontein Cricket Club are the limited-overs Challenge Cup defending champions.
