Durbanville Cricket Club head coach Manny Senger has stepped down ahead of the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Senger coached Durbanville Cricket Club to several titles, including the T20 Community Cup, WPCA premier league, National Club Championship and Cape Town Club Cricket League.
“As I end off my time as head coach of Durbanville Cricket Club’s first XI, I would like to reflect and thank all administrators, support staff, opposition players and coaches, family friends and supporters,” said Senger.
“It has been fun, momentous, emotional, challenging, sensational, satisfying, developmental, educational, celebratory, proud, but most of all a relation-building process with a special bunch of cricketers.
“We always stood firm through those trying times, finding ways within the squad to come out on top. This we did time after time. We were tested, but we never gave in, we built a proud brand based on success. This success will form the base for future successes – this I truly believe.”
Durbanville Cricket Club second XI coach Sean Ackermann has been appointed Senger’s successor.
