Former ODI cricketer Gerrie Snyman has been included in Nambia Over-40’s squad for this year’s inaugural Over-40 World Cup in South Africa.

Snyman played five ODIs for Namibia during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. He took three wickets against England in Port Elizabeth and two against Pakistan in Kimberley.

Namibia Over-40 will be without seamer Hendrik Geldenhuys, who has been sidelined by injury. He was among the leading wicket-takers at the Africa Cup in Pretoria late last year.

Western Province Over-40 batsman Duane Viljoen has been named in Namibia Over-40’s squad, too.
