Michael Levitt returns to WPCC first XI, Nic Barlow retains captaincy

Netherlands batsman Michael Levitt has returned to Western Province Cricket Club’s XI for Saturday, 15 March 2025’s Western Province Cricket Association premier league fixture against Milnerton Cricket Club at the Wally Wilson Oval.

Batsman Nic Barlow has retained the Western Province Cricket Club captaincy in the absence of regular captain Ridaa Isaacs. Barlow captained WPCC in the WPCA premier league for the first time against Brackenfell Cricket Club last week. WPCC won the match.

Batsman Givon Christian and leg-spinner are WPCC’s leading run-scorer and wicket-taker, respectively, in this season’s WPCA premier league.

Western Province Cricket Club currently occupy second position on the 2024-25 WPCA points table with 71 points from 15 wins and four defeats. They are four points behind first-placed Durbanville Cricket Club. They each have two fixtures remaining this season.

Rondebosch Cricket Club are the reigning WPCA premier league champions. They are currently in third position on the points table with 57 points – and will not retain the title.
