Marks Park Cricket Club’s Morteza Manack took nine wickets in a Lions Cricket premier league A fixture last week.
Manack completed figures of nine for 28 in 14.1 overs against Pirates Cricket Club.
“In an incredible spell of bowling, Manack returned club figures of nine for 28. This is definitely a club record and could be a Gauteng record,” said Marks Park Cricket Club director of cricket Yasin Manack.
“Morteza is just 18 years old and tore into the Pirates Cricket Club batting line-up. Coming on in the 12th over with
Pirates one wicket down, Morteza proceeded to weave his magic around the Pirates batters.”
Marks Park Cricket Club won the fixture.
Manack has been capped in professional cricket. He played four matches for the Lions in the T20 Challenge last year.
