North West have named batsman Wihan Lubbe first-class captain for the 2023-24 domestic season in South Africa.
Lubbe, who has played two T20Is for the Proteas, will also captain North West in one-day cricket. He recently returned to North West from the Warriors.
Spinner Senuran Muthusamy, who has played three Tests for South Africa, has been appointed North West T20 captain.
Former Proteas batsman Heino Kuhn captained North West across all formats, for the most part, during the 2022-23 season. He has since retired from professional cricket.
The 18-man squad includes batsman Wihan Lubbe, who has returned to North West from the Warriors – and .
North West have contracted former Knights duo Raynard van Tonder and Migael Pretorius.
They have also signed seamers Gideon Peters and Bamanye Xenxe from Border and Boland, respectively, and batsmen Lesiba Ngoepe, Rubin Hermann and Ruan de Swardt. Ngoepe, Hermann and de Swardt have joined from the Warriors, Mpumalanga and Dolphins, respectively.
All-rounder Delano Potgieter and seamer Renaldo Meyer have not been re-contracted by North West after leaving for the Lions and Warriors, respectively.
