Northern Cape have contracted batsman Modiri Litheko for the 2024-25 domestic season in South Africa.
Litheko was playing at the Titans before joining Northern Cape for the semi-final and final of the 2023-24 T20 Challenge. He scored 19 and 14 in the semi-final and final, respectively.
Litheko has also represented South Africa Emerging. – and was recently included in Cricket South Africa’s Academy intake for 2024.
The Titans have lost former Proteas spinner Aaron Phangiso, too. He has joined the Knights, who have been promoted to division one.
“Aaron has been good to us,” Titans chief executive officer Jacques Faul told Rapport.
“We’ve left on good terms and we wish him well at the Knights.”
The Knights have also signed batsman Lesego Senokwane from North West and fast bowler Johan van Dyk from Northern Cape. This is effectively a return to Free State for van Dyk.
