Old Grey Cricket Club have retained head coach Christo Jacobs.
Old Grey Cricket Club will compete in the 2023-24 Eastern Province Cricket premier league.
“In the short period of time that I have been involved, I have seen the club grow and improve from
strength to strength and in the right direction, which excites me for the future,” said Jacobs.
“My vision is always to win the league, but more importantly to improve and impact players to get the best out of themselves – and to develop a club culture where we are respected and proud to be associated with on and off the field.”
Warriors-contracted and South Africa Emerging seamer Siya Plaatjie plays for Old Grey Cricket Club, who have retained duo Aidan Meyer and Justin Banks as well.
“It’s great to have both players back with us. Having played in the UK, they bring back a wealth of knowledge and experience,” added Jacobs.
“They will add a lot of value to the team and help us win the league. I know both Aidan and Justin are looking forward to being back at Old Grey.
Former Proteas batsman Dave Callaghan is Old Grey Cricket Club president.
