Earlier this year, Proteas batsman Tristan Stubbs played for Old Grey Cricket Club against Gelvandale Cricket Club in the Eastern Province Cricket T20 premier league.

“To have professional cricketers Jean du Plessis and Tristan Stubbs don the Old Grey colours was an incredible privilege,” said McLean at the time.

“Their presence on the field was not only a boost for our team, but a powerful reminder of the strength and unity within our club culture.”
