South Africa Over-50 v New Zealand Over-50
South Africa beat New Zealand by six wickets in the rain-affected first semi-final at Western Province Cricket Club’s Wally Wilson Oval.
Richard Petrie top-scored with 32 in New Zealand’s total of 156 for nine in 27 overs. Alan Dawson, Lefty Ngece and Simion Muller took two wickets each for South Africa.
Brandon Nash hit 52 and Dawson 46 not out in South Africa’s reply of 160 for four in 25.3 overs. Dean Askew and Adil Somani took two wickets each for New Zealand.
England Over-50 v USA Over-50
England beat United States of America by four wickets in the second semi-final at Claremont Cricket Club.
Fazal Alam hit 59 in USA’s total of 160 all out in 44.5 overs. Mohammed Fayyaz took four wickets for USA.
Naseer Ahmed hit 50 and Jonathan Wileman 49 not out in England’s reply of 161 for six in 40.4 overs. Mohsin Khan took two wickets for USA.
Zimbabwe Over-50 v India Over-50
Zimbabwe beat India by 18 runs at Green Point Cricket Club.
Stuart Carlisle collected 57 in Zimbabwe’s total of 196 for six in 40 overs. Kamlesh Desai and Dinesh Sharma took two wickets each for India.
Iqbal Khan top-scored with 66 in India’s response of 178 all out in 38.5 overs. Andrew Walton took three wickets for Zimbabwe.
Australia Over-50 v Wales Over-50
Wales by beat Australia five wickets at Rondebosch Cricket Club.
Brad Papotto hit 54 in Australia’s total of 179 for seven in 35 overs. Mark Davies claimed three wickets for Wales.
Iwan Rees hit 86 in Wales’ reply of 183 for five in 27.5 overs. Papotto took two wickets for Australia.
Namibia Over-50 v Canada Over-50
Canada beat Namibia by nine wickets at Cape Town Cricket Club.
Piers le Strange hit 25 in Namibia’s total of 89 all out in 35.2 overs. Rudy Gibson took three wickets for Canada.
Bede Anandappa struck 41 in Canada’s reply of 93 for one in 12 overs. Alex Horn took one wicket for Namibia.
West Indies Over-50 v UAE Over-50
West Indies beat United Arab Emirates by 48 runs at Western Province Cricket Club’s Vineyard Oval.
Vejai Seonarine hit 75 not out in West Indies’ total of 272 for nine in 45 overs. Tarson John Flory took three wickets for UAE.
Khurram Khan collected 89 in UAE’s reply of 224 all out in 43 overs. Zamin Amin took four wickets for West Indies.
Pakistan Over-50 v Sri Lanka Over-50
Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 78 runs at Durbanville Cricket Club.
Muhammad Hafeez struck 67 not out in Pakistan’s total of 190 for eight in 45 overs. Chaminda Rajapakse took three wickets for Sri Lanka.
Ruvin Peiris hit 22 in Sri Lanka’s reply of 112 all out in 38.4 overs. Muhammad Querishi took three wickets for Pakistan.
