The Port Elizabeth team in Cricket South Africa’s new T20 league will be called Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
The team are owned by Sun TV Network Limited, who also own the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.
Proteas batsman Aiden Markram will play for Sunrisers Eastern Cape. He played for SRH in the 2022 IPL.
Whether Eastern Cape Sunrisers sign other players prior to the auction remains in the balance.
