Brackenfell Cricket Club have recruited all-rounder Philip Kleynhans ahead of the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Earlier this month, Brackenfell Cricket Club announced the arrival of batsman Eddie Moore and Godwill Mamhiyo.
“As a youngster, the all-rounder played for Brackenfell CC, but then went on to play for Stellenbosch University Cricket Club (Maties) from 2018 to 2022,” said Brackenfell Cricket Club head of cricket Francois Gantz.
“During that time, he joined the Boland Academy and represented the Boland Colts during the 2021-22 season.
“Philip’s signing and return is a crucial part of our vision at the club. While we are committed to gain senior players with experience, our focus to develop our young guns is crucial and our main focus.
“To have this talented young player back at the club is a big step in the right direction. I am really excited that Philip is back where he belongs.”
Brackenfell Cricket Club finished in ninth position in the 2021-22 WPCA premier league, after eight wins and 12 defeats.
