Namibia head coach Pierre de Bruyn resigned this week.
De Bruyn coached Namibia since 2018. Namibia qualified for three T20 World Cups and achieved ODI status during de Bruyn’s tenure.
“We are immensely grateful to Pierre for his vision, leadership, and the legacy he leaves behind,” said Cricket Namibia chief executive officer Johan Muller.
“His impact will be felt for years to come, and while we are sad to see him go, we respect and support his decision to prioritise his family and pursue a new chapter in his career.
“Pierre has made the difficult decision to step down from his position in order to be closer to his family and has accepted a new role with the Titans franchise in Centurion, South Africa.”

De Bruyn has been appointed Titans Women coach since exiting Namibia. He played for the Titans and Dolphins during a 15-year first-class career before moving into coaching.
“It’s a privilege to lead this team within a world-class Titans organisation with a proud legacy of excellence and success. As women’s cricket continues to grow on the global stage, we have the chance to lead with purpose – to set new standards and to inspire the next generation,” said de Bruyn.
“I’m excited to take on this challenge with passion and belief. To all the women and girls watching – there’s a place for you in this game. We’re just getting started, and the future is yours.
“This decision to leave Namibia has been one of the hardest I’ve ever made. Stepping away after six years isn’t easy, but my heart is telling me it’s time to focus on the people who matter most – my family
“I’ve poured so much of myself into this role, and its been an unforgettable journey filled with growth, connection, and purpose. Now, I’m ready to turn the page and begin a new chapter – one that allows me to be more present at home and embrace what life has in store.
“I leave with deep gratitude and love for everyone who has been part of this story. I’m incredibly grateful for the support, friendship, and opportunities I’ve experienced here.”
Titans chief executive officer Jacques Faul added: “Pierre is someone who understands the Titans culture and what it takes to succeed. His work ethic, passion for the game, and proven track record make him the perfect fit for this role. We are excited to welcome him back and look forward to the impact he will make over the next two years.”
