Boland have retained batsmen Pieter Malan and Stiaan van Zyl among the contracted players for the 2023-24 domestic season in South Africa.
Malan, who has been capped in Test cricket by the Proteas, is currently playing for Middlesex in the County Championship in the United Kingdom. Van Zyl played 12 Tests for the Proteas from 2014 to 2016.
Boland have also contracted Proteas batsman Janneman Malan, who recently lost a Cricket South Africa contract.
Proteas batsman Keegan Petersen has returned to Boland from the Dolphins. Proteas seamer Glenton Stuurman has left the Warriors for Boland.
Former Western Province batsman Aviwe Mgijima and Warriors seamer Akhona Mnyaka have joined Boland.
“I am of the opinion that we have contracted a very strong squad who will be able to be competitive in all formats,” said Boland bowling coach Henry Williams.
“Our squad is more experienced now with all our new recruits being seasoned performers. Jevano Baron and Aiden du Toit have earned themselves high performance contracts for the first time.”
