Pinelands Cricket Club confirm Jordan Woolf return and president, chairman changes

All-rounder Jordan Woolf has returned to Pinelands Cricket Club from Western Province Cricket Club.

Woolf left Pinelands Cricket Club in the Western Province Cricket Association first division A for Western Province Cricket Club in the WPCA premier league in August 2022, but has returned after one season.

“I am really pleased to have Jordan on board. He brings a lot of quality to our batting and bowling department. He will immediately form part of the leadership group and we are hoping he will contribute on the park and in the dressing room,” Pinelands Cricket Club head coach Muneer Holmes told Club Cricket SA.

Woolf has been capped three times by Western Province in professional T20 cricket.

New president and chairman at Pinelands Cricket Club

Pinelands Cricket Club, meanwhile, have appointed Barney de Klerk chairman and Wayne Bird president.

De Klerk has succeeded former Pinelands Cricket Club chairman Graedon Boswell, who resigned earlier this year.

Bird has succeeded former Pinelands Cricket Club president Steven Westraad, who has joined Green Point Cricket Club has head coach.

Pinelands Cricket Club’s other signings

Pinelands Cricket Club have also signed batsman Matthew Mingo from the University of Cape Town Cricket Club.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Preston Rooms has joined Pinelands Cricket Club from Montrose Cricket Club – and Tyler Sylvester has arrived from Rondebosch Cricket Club.

Spinner Liam Goodall, too, has returned to Pinelands Cricket Club from Ottoman Cricket Club.

Batsmen Yaseen Vallie and Mubashier Vallie have exited Pinelands Cricket Club for Cravenby Cricket Club.
