All-rounder Adam Scher has joined Pinelands Cricket Club ahead of the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Scher, who previously played for Green Point Cricket Club in the WPCA premier league, has been appointed captain at Pinelands Cricket Club.
He has succeeded former Pinelands Cricket Club captain Barry Maart, who stepped down earlier this month.
“We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of Adam Scher from Green Point Cricket Club, as well as his appointment as first XI captain,” read a statement from Pinelands Cricket Club.
“Scher brings with him a wealth of experience and leadership qualities that will undoubtedly complement our young, talented team.
“In his previous tenure as captain at Green Point CC, Scher led the club to WPCA premier league status.”
Pinelands Cricket Club ended the 2023-24’WPCA first division A in sixth position. They won 12 and lost 10 matches.
