Former Proteas, Ireland and Sri Lanka head coach Graham Ford has been named head coach of the Pretoria Capitals for the SA20.
Ford resigned as Ireland head coach late last year. He has also held leadership roles with Kent and Surrey in England – and the Dolphins in South Africa.
The Pretoria Capitals are owned by JSW Sports, who also own the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League.
The Pretoria Capitals signed Proteas fast bowler Anrich Nortje and Knights seamer Migael Pretorius prior to 19 September 2022’s SA20 player auction.
The inaugural edition of the SA20, which will comprise six teams – all owned by companies who also own franchises in the IPL – is scheduled to start on 17 January 2023.
