Qaasim Salie succeeds Ahmad Magiet as Primrose Cricket Club captain

Primrose Cricket Club have appointed wicketkeeper-batsman Qaasim Salie captain ahead of the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association season.

Salie has succeeded former Primrose Cricket Club captain Ahmad Magiet, who has retired from playing.

Batsman Josh Schippers has been named Salie’s vice-captain.

Former franchise cricketer Qaasim Adams is Primrose Cricket Club’s head coach.

Primrose Cricket Club will compete in the 2022-23 WPCA first division A.

Their 2021-22 first division A campaign yielded a fifth-place finish in the 12-team standings. They won 12 and lost eight fixtures.
