Primrose Cricket Club have signed all-rounder Juan James ahead of the 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
James played for Ottoman Cricket Club in the 2022-23 WPCA premier league before moving to North West to play first-class cricket.
He has since returned to the Western Cape – and has been given a rookie contract by Western Province.
James recently captained South Africa Under-19 against Bangladesh Under-19.
“We are thrilled to welcome Juan James to our dynamic team,” read a statement from Primrose Cricket Club.
“Juan brings his exceptional skills, passion and dedication to our club.”
Primrose Cricket Club sign Bayoumy, too
Last month, Primrose Cricket Club signed all-rounder Abdallah Bayoumy.
Bayoumy, who has been capped by South Africa Under-19 and Western Province, previously played for Rylands Cricket Club.
Primrose Cricket Club promoted
Primrose Cricket Club have returned to the WPCA premier league after finishing in second position in the 2022-23 WPCA first division A.
They will be joined in the premier league by Milnerton Cricket Club, who won last season’s first division A.
Brackenfell Cricket Club and Ottoman Cricket Club have been relegated to the first division A.
