The Chennai Super Kings have signed Proteas fast bowler Sisanda Magala for the 2023 Indian Premier League.
Magala has replaced injured New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson in the Chennai Squad.
The Super Kings purchased Magala for the currency equivalent of R1.1 million.
“The 32-year-old Magala has played four T20Is and five ODIs for South Africa. He has played 127 T20s overall, picking up 136 wickets. He was impressive in the SA20, picking up 14 wickets in 12 matches helping his side Sunrisers Eastern Cape win the title,” read a statement from CSK.
Ferreira to Rajasthan
At last year’s IPL player auction, Titans batsman Donovan Ferreira joined the Rajasthan Royals for the equivalent of R1.02 million.
Jansen to Mumbai
North West fast bowler Duan Jansen joined the Mumbai Indians for R408,000. His brother, Marco Jansen, has been retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Klaasen to Hyderabad
Titans wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen moved to the Sunrisers Hyderabad for R10.9 million. Klaasen previously played for the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
Rossouw to Capitals
Knights batsman Rilee Rossouw joined the Delhi Capitals for R9.5 million. Rossouw previously represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
