The Proteas have confirmed batsman David Miller‘s availability for next month’s T20 World Cup.

Miller had been sidelined by an injury sustained during the SA20 earlier this month, but has recovered to retain a place in South Africa’s 15-man squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

“David Miller has been medically cleared for next month’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka,” read Saturday’s statement from Cricket South Africa.

“Miller successfully underwent a fitness test this week following an adductor muscle strain sustained while playing for Paarl Royals during theĀ  SA20.

“He will join the squad on Sunday, when they depart for Mumbai from Johannesburg.”

Meanwhile, batsmen Tony de Zorzi and Donovan Ferreira have been ruled out of the Proteas’ T20 World Cup squad due to respective hamstring and shoulder injuries. Batsmen Ryan Rickelton and Tristan Stubbs have replaced de Zorzi and Ferreira.
