Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of this month’s T20I series against Ireland.
Rabada has been sidelined by an ankle injury.
“Kagiso has been ruled out of the series following a review of his left medial ankle injury by the Proteas medical team,” read a statement from Cricket South Africa.
“He will continue medical management and rehabilitation and his progress will be closely monitored in preparation for the upcoming three-match Test series against England later this month.”
Ireland and South Africa will meet for two T20Is. The matches will be played on 3 and 5 August. Bristol will host both fixtures.
