Proteas seamer Beuran Hendricks has joined Delfos Cricket Club.
Hendricks represented Bellville Cricket Club in Western Province Cricket Association competition before leaving the Cape Cobras for the Lions.
Delfos Cricket Club compete in the Central Gauteng Lions (formerly Gauteng Cricket Board) premier league A – and currently occupy third position in the 12-team standings.
Left-armer Hendricks debuted for Delfos Cricket Club in Thursday, 21 March 2019’s key fixture against Wanderers Cricket Club. Lions seamer Craig Alexander was also named in the Delfos Cricket Club XI.
The 28-year-old two ODIs and 10 T20Is since March 2014’s international debut. He was an integral member of the Jozi Stars’ title-winning squad for late last year’s inaugural Mzansi Super League campaign. Hendricks also boasts Indian Premier League experience with the Kings XI Punjab.
Last week saw Lions batsman Kagiso Rapulana and seamer Malusi Siboto played for Soweto Pioneers Cricket Club in victory over Lenasia Cricket Club in the CGL premier league A. Rapulana struck 82 and Siboto took two for nine in seven overs.
Several Cape Cobras stars played WPCA premier league cricket last week, too, including Cape Town Cricket Club’s Kyle Verreynne, Durbanville Cricket Club’s Janneman Malan, Pieter Malan and George Linde, Victoria Cricket Club’s Tladi Bokako, Rory Kleinveldt and Dane Piedt and others.
