Qaasim Adams and David Schierhout win top Primrose Cricket Club awards

Batsman Qaasim Adams was named Player of the Year at Primrose Cricket Club’s awards ceremony for the 2021-22 Western Province Cricket Association season recently.

Adams also won the Batsman of the Year award. Spinner David Schierhout was named Bowler of the Year.

Schierhout and Adams were central to Primrose Cricket Club’s 2021-22 WPCA first division A campaign.

Adams hit 750 runs at an average of 35. Schierhout collected 45 wickets at an average of 13. Both tallies accounted for performances in the 2021-22 Ama20 Competition, too.

Primrose Cricket Club in 2022-23

Primrose Cricket Club recently appointed Adams head coach for the 2022-23 first division A.

They have also appointed wicketkeeper-batsman Qaasim Salie captain. He has succeeded former Primrose Cricket Club captain Ahmad Magiet. Batsman Josh Schippers has been named Salie’s vice-captain.
