Opener Quinton de Kock struck a century in Tuesday’s Cricket World Cup fixture against Bangladesh in Mumbai, India.
This is de Kock’s 150th ODI. Tuesday’s ton is the 20th of his ODI career – and third of this tournament. He struck 100 against Sri Lanka in Delhi and 109 against Australia in Lucknow earlier this month.
He became the 2023 Cricket World Cup’s leading run-scorer during Tuesday’s fixture, surpassing second-placed Virat Kohli and third-placed Rohit Sharma of India.
De Kock has collected the fourth most ODI centuries for South Africa, after Hashim Amla’s 27, AB de Villiers’ 25 and Herschelle Gibbs’ 21.
De Kock will retire from ODI cricket after this World Cup.
