Ottoman Cricket Club have appointed the experienced Rasheed Lewis head coach ahead of the 2020-21 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.

Lewis has succeded former head coach Hassan Pangarker, whose tenure started in 2017 and ended earlier this year.

This will be Lewis’ second season with Ottoman Cricket Club. He joined from Western Province Cricket Club in July 2019. He had previously represented United Cricket Club, too.

“I had been through the mill at United Cricket Club and Western Province Cricket Club in terms of working with some older guys. This opportunity to work with younger guys at Ottoman Cricket Club will be great,” Lewis told Club Cricket SA.

The start of the 2020-21 WPCA club cricket season will likely be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 2019-20 season ended early for the same reason.
