The Multan Sultans signed Proteas batsman Reeza Hendricks during Wednesday’s player draft for next year’s Pakistan Super League.
The 2024 Pakistan Super League will precede the SA20 in South Africa. Hendricks will represent the Joburg Super Kings at the SA20.
He is currently with the Proteas for this month’s limited-overs series against India.
Hendricks top-scored with 49 in South Africa’s five-wicket win over India in the second T20I at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth earlier this week.
Proteas captain Aiden Markram said: “Reeza has been fantastic. He has been going well for a period of about two years now. He’s adopted a bit of a leadership role in the batting unit. I’m really pleased for him.”
Fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has also been selected for the PSL for the first time. He will play for Peshawar Zalmi.
