Gaynor Sebola‘s status as the Western Province Cricket Umpires Association’s Ambassador of the Year will continue in the Netherlands this week.

Earlier this month, Sebola was named Ambassador of the Year and Umpires’ Umpire of the Year at the Western Province Cricket Umpires Association for the 2022-23 season.

This week, she is in Voorburg, Netherlands, to officiate Netherlands A versus Italy.

“Gaynor had a breakthrough season in 2022-23, making her debut in the men’s WPCA premier league,” said Western Province Cricket Umpires Association training coordinator Tom Mokorosi.

“This latest feather in her umpiring cap is rich reward for all her hard work, on and off the field.”

Earlier this year, Sebola officiated matches in the Over-50 World Cup, including an opening fixture between Australia Over-50 and Sri Lanka Over-50.

“I’m very excited going into my first World Cup. But it is a great opportunity for me to exercise the hard work and hours I have put in,” she said at the time.
