Rondebosch Cricket Club overseas pro Aneurin Donald hits 159 not out off 47 balls in WPCA premier league

Rondebosch Cricket Club’s Aneurin Donald struck an unbeaten 159 not out from 47 deliveries in 4 February 2023’s Western Province Cricket Association premier league fixture against Kraaifontein Cricket Club at the Terry Eksteen Oval.

Donald’s innings featured 12 fours and 16 sixes – and ensured Rondebosch Cricket Club reached a 244-run target inside 15 overs.

Kraaifontein Cricket Club deployed five bowlers – and each conceded an economy rate of at least 14.9, with the highest 23.5.

Rondebosch Cricket Club signed Donald, via CPT Cricket Tours, in early January. He has been capped 51 times at first-class level – and represented Hampshire in the 2022 English County Championship.

Strydom joins Donald among 2022-23 WPCA premier league centurions

Meanwhile, Durbanville Cricket Club’s Jean Strydom joined the 2022-23 WPCA premier league centurions after scoring 105 against Ottoman Cricket Club.
