Fast bowler Ali-Akbar Shaik has joined Rondebosch Cricket Club from Blue Bells Cricket Club, ahead of the 2021-22 Western Province Cricket Association club season.
Shaik has been playing for the Devil’s Peak Dragons in the 2021 edition of the Cape Premier League this month.

“We are really excited to have a young fast-bowling prospect who has been so destructive in the CPL,” Rondebosch Cricket Club player-coach Sean Hendrieck told Club Cricket SA.
Rondebosch Cricket Club have also added Montrose Cricket Club’s Rostill Wessels, Milnerton Cricket Club’s Darren Butler and former Cape Cobras spinner Dyllan Matthews to a growing list of new recruits.
These also include former Bellville Cricket Club all-rounder Lenert van Wyk, ex-Eastern Province captain Matthew Christensen and Glamorgan Cricket Club’s Malcolm Cloete.
