Rondebosch Cricket Club have signed Hampshire wicketkeeper-batsman Aneurin Donald for the second half of the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.

Donald has been capped 51 times at first-class level – and represented Hampshire in the 2022 English County Championship.

CPT Cricket Tours facilitated the arrangement between Rondebosch Cricket Club and Donald.

“Hampshire and former England Under-19 top-order batter Aneurin Donald will play for Rondebosch Cricket Club,” read a statement from CPT Cricket Tours.

“A destructive batter with over 3,000 first-class runs, including three centuries and 18 half-tons, Aneurin will join a few of his Hampshire team-mates out in Cape Town to work with former Proteas batsman Neil McKenzie during the United Kingdom winter.”

Rondebosch Cricket Club currently occupy fifth position in 2022-23’s 12-team WPCA premier league. They have won four and lost three matches.
