All-rounder Ruan Haasbroek has joined Northern Cape for the 2024-25 domestic season in South Africa.
Haasbroek was with Limpopo for the 2023-24 season – and had previously played for the Lions.
Northern Cape head coach Mark Charlton confirmed signing Haasbroek – and releasing wicketkeeper-batsman Hanu Viljoen to the Dolphins.
Northern Cape are the reigning 4-Day Domestic Series, division two, champions. They have won the title two seasons in a row.
Northern Cape have also signed batsmen Cole Abrahams and Ronan Herrmann from the Lions, former Tuskers trio Tian Koekemoer, Modiri Litheko and Stefan Tait – and fast bowler Hardus Viljoen from Boland.
Batsmen Chris Britz and Jason Oakes, fast bowler Johan van Dyk and all-rounder Grant Thomson have also left Northern Cape. Britz and van Dyk have moved to Easterns and the Knights, respectively. Thomson and Oakes have returned to Easterns and KwaZulu-Natal Inland, respectively.
