Rylands Cricket Club retain captain and coach, Jack Newby returns

Rylands Cricket Club have retained captain Riaaz Teladia for the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association season.

Head coach Rushdi Jappie has also been retained.

Batsman Jack Newby, meanwhile, has returned to Rylands Cricket Club. He missed the bulk of the 2021-22 season to be in the United Kingdom instead.

All-rounder Abdullah Bayoumy has also remained with Rylands Cricket Club. He was recently included in the South Africa Under-19 squad.

Rylands Cricket Club retain WPCA premier league status

Rylands Cricket Club will compete in the 2022-23 WPCA premier league.

They achieved an eighth-place finish in the 2021-22 premier league with seven wins, 11 defeats, one tie and a no-result.
