South Africa Over-40 limited Namibia Over-40 to 29 for nine in 22 overs. Fast bowler Dan Styer took three wickets and seamers Jaco Castle and Lundi Mbane two each. Spinner Ridiwaan Williams took one wicket.
Captain Warren Dugmore and fellow opener Brandon Buckley struck 12 not out and 16 not out, respectively, in South Africa A’s reply of 34 without loss in 3.5 overs.
Only 25.5 of the match’s scheduled 90 overs were bowled.
SA Over-40 Invitational lose to Zimbabwe Over-40
In Tuesday’s other Africa Cup fixture, Zimbabwe Over-40 beat South Africa Over-40 Invitational by 60 runs at Irene Country Club.
Zimbabwe Over-40 totalled 236 for six in 45 overs. Captain Doug Marillier hit 49.
South Africa Over-40 replied with 176 all out in 42 overs. Batsman Quintin Pretorius struck 32.
