South Africa have named a 16-man squad for December 2025’s Over-40 T20 World Cup in Pakistan.

The squad includes Western Province duo Werner Moolman and Jaco Castle, who won the inaugural Over-40 World Cup title in 2024.

Western Province Over-40 team-mates Sohail Imran, Martin van der Merwe and William Hantam has also been selected.

The squad was selected after May 2025’s over-40 inter-provincial tournament in Port Elizabeth.

Spinner Yasser Ditta has been named South Africa Over-40 captain. His vice-captain is all-rounder Johan Fourie.

Fourie, Hantam, the Lions’ Khaalid Moothosamy and Border’s Lundi Mbane are among the former first-class cricketers in the South Africa Over-40 squad.
