The schedule for 27 April 2019’s four Western Province Cricket Association Ama20 Competition first division finals has been confirmed.

First division D, 9am

  • Mitchells Plain Cricket Club v Belhar Cricket Club

Mitchells Plain Cricket Club and Belhar Cricket Club earned first division D semi-final victories over Peninsula Cricket Club and Seacrest Cricket Club, respectively, to reach the final.

First division C, 12:30pm

  • Glamorgan Cricket Club v Kensington Cricket Club

Glamorgan Cricket Club and Kensington Cricket Club earned first division C semi-final victories over Atlantis Cricket Club and Macassar Cricket Club, respectively, to reach the final.

First division B, 4pm

  • Hottentots Holland Cricket Club v Somerset West Cricket Club

Hottentots Holland Cricket Club and Somerset West Cricket Club earned first division B semi-final victories over Pinelands Cricket Club and Montrose Cricket Club, respectively, to reach the final.

First division A, 7:30pm

  • Avendale Cricket Club v Strandfontein Cricket Club

Avendale Cricket Club and Strandfontein Cricket Club earned first division A semi-final victories over Northerns Goodwood Cricket Club and United Cricket, respectively, to reach the final.

Newlands

Earlier this month, Newlands was confirmed as the venue for the four fixtures. The finals are traditionally played at the iconic venue, but alternatives were considered amid a busy provincial, franchise and international cricket season in Cape Town.

Last month, finalists were afforded the choice of playing at neutral club venues on 17 March – or Newlands on 27 April. The latter was confirmed in early March.

Ama20 competition premier league final

Durbanville Cricket Club beat Bellville Cricket Club in the final of the Ama20 Competition premier league final, at the University of the Western Cape Cricket Club, last year.

Durbanville, therefore, qualified for the T20 Community Cup in Pretoria again – but failed to defend 2017’s title.
