Seacrest Cricket Club have signed seamer Justin Bennett and all-rounder Abdul Maalik for the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association first division D.
Bennett and Maalik have joined Seacrest Cricket Club from Mitchells Plain Cricket Club and Peninsula Cricket Club, respectively.
Seacrest Cricket Club ended the 2023-24 WPCA first division D in sixth position. They won eight and lost 10 matches. Varsity College Cricket Club won the 2023-24 WPCA first division D title.
Meanwhile, Wynberg Cricket Club have named batsman Munier Khopatkar captain for the 2024-25 WPCA first division C. Khopatkar has succeeded former Wynberg Cricket Club captain Yusriy Sulaiman.
Elsewhere in the WPCA first division C, Hanover Park Cricket Club have replaced former head coach Gemau Adams with successor Nigel Boezak.
Also in the WPCA first division C, Yorkshire Cricket Club have recruited several players, including former Primrose Cricket Club spinner David Schierhout.
