Batsman Sharn Gomes has joined Yorkshire Cricket Club for the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association first division C.
Gomes has not been involved in Western Province Cricket Association club competition for several years. He previously represented Milnerton Cricket Club, Montrose Cricket Club and others.
He was capped seven times by Portugal in T20I cricket in 2022 and 2023.
Yorkshire Cricket Club, who have been relegated after ending the 2023-24 WPCA first division B in last position, have also signed spinner David Schierhout, all-rounder Zain Allie and batsmen Qaasim Salie and Sohail Mahmoud from Primrose Cricket Club.
Seamer Sabir Mallie and all-rounder Raees Carr have also joined Yorkshire Cricket Club from the University of the Western Cape Cricket Club and Cape Town Cricket Club, respectively.
“These players bring a wealth of experience, skill and enthusiasm to our team – and we are thrilled to have them on board,” said Yorkshire Cricket Club director of cricket Siraaj Conrad.
