Talented all-rounder Kyle Simmonds claimed the Players’ Player of the Year accolade and Percy Frederick Bowling Trophy at the the Hollywoodbets.net Crusaders‘ annual awards ceremony recently.
Integral to the Crusaders’ KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union 2014-15 premier league campaign and historic National Club Championship title, Simmonds clinched 42 wickets for the first XI, at an average of less than eight per scalp.
The in-form Mike Alexander secured the John Coombe Batting Trophy – thanks largely to 590 first XI runs, including two centuries and two half-tons.
The veteran Andrew Bennison and Dave Kerr received the Outstanding Contribution to the Club award and Jack Van Der Merwe Trophy for Meritorious Service, respectively.
The loyal Sean Dixon, meanwhile, cherished the Outstanding Contribution to the Club and first XI award.
