Fast bowler Sisanda Magala was named in the Lions XI for Wednesday’s One-Day Cup fixture against the Dolphins at the Wanderers.
Last week, Magala was ruled out of South Africa’s squad for the World Cup in India due to injury.
“It’s hugely disappointing for Sisanda to be missing out on the World Cup. He is a quality player that adds immense value to the Proteas,” said Proteas limited-overs coach Rob Walter at the time.
“We sympathise in his omission and will continue to provide all the necessary support as he works towards his return to competitive action.”
